1. For heat pumps and A/C units, check your circuit breaker or electric box to make sure that a circuit wasn't tripped. If the circuit trips again, call a technician.
2. Make sure you have enough oil or propane for your system.
3. Only push the RESET button on an oil furnace ONCE, pushing it more than once can cause oil to build up in the furnace. Be sure to tell the technician that you have pushed the reset button if the system does not fire up again.
4. Make sure the filter is clean.
